Meet The Act Now For Animals Team
Michael is the founder of Act Now For Animals, which was started in August 2008. Michael first become involved in animal rights after visiting Vegetarians International Voice for Animals’ website and learning about the largely unpublicised massacre of kangaroos in Australia.
Michael started Act Now For Animals because he felt there was a lack of reliable information for vegans in Australia, he also needed a way to publicise his kangaroo and mouse glue trap campaigns.
He has interned for PETA Asia-Pacific and previously cared for wildlife for three years. It was while caring for wildlife that Michael started considering the difference between the animals he was saving and the farm animals he was eating and so his journey to veganism began.
Michael dedicates a large part of his life to helping animals and is particularly passionate about campaigning against the killing of wildlife and animals that are considered ‘pests’.
